Star Hawthorn forward Greta Bodey has been cleared of a toe injury, while Melbourne skipper Kate Hore will need to prove her fitness before returning.
Elsewhere, two-time All-Australian defender Bianca Jakobsson has been ruled out of St Kilda's match against Brisbane and will be sidelined for five months.
The Hawks confirmed on Tuesday star forward Bodey will be available for selection as they look to secure a maiden top-two finish when they meet Collingwood in the final round of the AFLW regular season.
The former Lions premiership player had missed out on the previous two rounds with a toe complaint.
"Greta's recovered well from the intervention we put in place for her toe," Hawks high-performance boss Aaron Kellett said.
"She's gone through a bit of a reloading plan, this week's a big part of that, but at this stage she'll be available for selection this week."
Defender Emily Everist (illness) and forward Kristy Stratton (ankle) face fitness tests for Hawthorn.
Melbourne's Hore was a last-minute exclusion before their loss to the Hawks after picking up a low-grade quad strain.
Arguably one of the best goalkickers in the competition, the ninth-placed Demons will need Hore's talent against Collingwood - and need Essendon to lose - to avoid missing out on finals for the first time since 2019.
Defender Gab Colvin (concussion) will not be available for selection after suffering another head knock at training. Sinead Goldrick (concussion) will also miss.
