LAS VEGAS – Bobby Green was not in the mood to talk following his no contest against Jared Gordon.
“F*ck this, f*ck this and f*ck this,” Green told reporters at the UFC Fight Night 222 post-fight press conference. “I get it. I get it. We f*cking clashed heads. I was trying to go for an elbow, and he kind of dipped his head, and we kind of clashed. But he was still f*cking moving.
“He was trying to put me in a f*cking triangle. I fought the triangle off, and he was still moving fine. And then after I busted his ass, then he was f*cked up. He was straight. And then when they try to slide me out of my money, that’s what I’m mad about. I need my money, bro. I need my money.”
After those comments in response to one question, Green stormed off the stage. You can watch Green’s reaction in the video above.
The lightweight bout was ruled a no contest after the Nevada Athletic Commission analyzed the footage of the ending sequence. Both Green (29-4-1 MMA, 10-9-1 UFC) and Gordon (19-6 MMA, 7-5 UFC) clashed heads, Gordon went down, and Green followed up with ground-and-pound to fully put him away.
The lightweight bout went down on the main card of Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 222 at the UFC Apex. The event streamed on on ESPN+.
