Bobby Davro's fiancee Vicky Wright has died, aged 63

Actress Vicky Wright, the fiancée of comedian Bobby Davro and daughter of England footballer Billy Wright, has died, aged 63. Vicky had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, reports The Mirror.

Kelly Wright-Warhurst, Vicky's daughter, said: "My wonderful mum Vicky has sadly passed away this morning. I wanted to use this platform to let you all know, as I know how much she valued all your love and support in so many ways."

Vicky's dad, England footballer Billy Wright died of cancer in September 1994 aged 70, just months after his diagnosis.

BBC Midlands' Nick Owen said: "I had known Vicky for more than 40 years and loved her company. Her dad Billy gave me my first job in television. I feel terribly sad tonight. Thoughts with all the family."

Speaking to the Daily Star last week, Dancing On Ice star Bobby said: "To see someone as beautiful as her with this illness is horrific, it's so sad."

"Thank goodness I've got my work because it keeps my mind off this for a bit of time," he said before continuing: "I don't want the fact I'm keeping working to sound selfish.

"Everyone who knows me knows it's just a distraction for a bit of time from trying to help Vicky. I need to see people laughing, and I like that I can still make people laugh while dealing with this."
