The Boston Celtics‘ controversial decision to trade Marcus Smart for Kristaps Porzingis isn’t sitting well with everyone. Renowned Boston sports columnist Bob Ryan, among them, does not mince his words as he shares his own candid take on the trade on a recent episode of the CLNS Media “Ryan, Goodman and Tanguay” podcast, particularly in relation to Porzingis.
Ryan kicks off the discussion with a blunt statement, saying, “I’m not crazy about this … I’m not a big fan of this guy … the last thing that I needed in my Celtic life was another guy cranking up stupid 3s and that’s what they want.”
Despite his critique, Ryan remains open-minded about the future of the team in its new form, declaring he will wait and see how it goes.
