A boat carrying approximately 332 tons of humanitarian aid departed Gaza without unloading most of its cargo after a deadly Israeli military strike that resulted in the deaths of several aid workers, as reported by the Cypriot foreign ministry.
The vessel, which was coordinated by the non-profit organization World Central Kitchen (WCK), decided to return to Cyprus after the strike on Monday claimed the lives of seven WCK staff members, according to Theodoros Gotsis, a spokesperson for the ministry.
Initially, the workers had offloaded some cargo on Monday and had intended to unload an additional 240 tons of aid, as stated by Gotsis on Wednesday. However, following the tragic incident, the WCK promptly announced a halt to its operations in the region.
