The Black Ops 7 Season 4 Reloaded update introduces several weapon balance changes, headlined by buffs to the Maddox RFB and X9 Maverick, alongside nerfs for the Voyak KT-3, Kogot-7, and Warden 308. The patch also includes gameplay fixes across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame.
Below we break down the big changes included in the BO7 Season 4 Reloaded patch notes.
Breakdown of BO7 patch notes for Season 4 Reloaded
Weapon buffs
The Maddox RFB receives reversals to previous recoil and damage range nerfs, improving its effectiveness after falling out of the assault rifle meta. The X9 Maverick also gets range increases and burst fire cooldown buff to improve its performance without pushing it back to its dominant state.
The AK-27 gains a new max damage profile that rewards close-range headshots, while the MXR-17’s ANVL Conversion now features improved recoil control and a stronger sustained fire rate.
Among SMGs included in the BO7 Season 4 Reloaded patch notes, the REV-46 receives range and long-range headshot damage improvements, while the VST gets reduced recoil for better handling.
Other notable buffs include improved recoil for the XM325 LMG, ADS Spread improvements for several XR-3 Ion and LMG attachments, increased damage for the Grimhawk special weapon, and a stronger LTI Stentorian Brake muzzle attachment with its vertical recoil penalty removed and fire rate slightly increased.
Weapon nerfs
The Voyak KT-3 has finally been toned down after several seasons of strong usage. Its max damage range and recoil have been reduced to limit its effectiveness.
The Kogot-7, one of the game’s top-performing SMGs, sees changes aimed at reducing its long-range power. Damage values and headshot multipliers have been adjusted, requiring additional shots to secure kills at longer distances.
Meanwhile, the Warden 308 marksman rifle has been reworked to reduce its one-shot-kill potential. Upper torso eliminations are now more limited, and a new mid damage range reduces the effectiveness of neck shots.
Gameplay changes across modes
The BO7 Season 4 Reloaded patch also fixes several gameplay issues in Multiplayer. The Lockshot crosshair will no longer disappear after looking away from a targeted enemy while aiming down sights. Additionally, Iron Rain now correctly deals its intended damage against the Ion Core scorestreak.
BO7 Zombies receives a range of gameplay adjustments, bug fixes, and stability improvements across Totenreich, Paradox Junction, Astra Malorum, and Ashes of the Damned. Updates also address issues affecting Rogue Run, Cursed, Directed, and Survival modes, alongside fixes for GobbleGums, Pack-a-Punched KRS 7.62, audio, and overall stability.
BO7 Endgame players can expect fixes for Zursa pathing and behavior, ammunition issues affecting Exotic weapons when entering Glitch Fractures, and several UI and stability improvements.
