Given how the preseason played out fans and media alike knew it was just a matter of time until the Denver Broncos’ first round quarterback Bo Nix would be anointed the starting quarterback. On Wednesday afternoon the team went ahead and made it official, announcing Nix will get the starting nod for the opening week of the regular season.
It's Bo Time.

Nix took command of this Sean Payton offense from the get go and showed off his many years of starting experience by looking like the established veteran of the quarterback group. The 12th overall pick put it all together in the preseason, completing 23 of 30 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns in limited snaps.
Both Nix and Payton are going to have their work cut out for them given the roster is lacking in talent. Payton showed last year he can scrap together a solid team and a good scheme, and Nix fits it like a glove so hope is still alive in Denver. Nix will have plenty to prove as he opens up away at the Seattle Seahawks in week one of the regular season.
