Check Out This 100 Mph+ Electric Scooter With a Better Power-To-Weight Ratio Than a Bugatti Veyron

I've owned a fast electric scooter—it did around 40 mph. As someone who regularly rides motorcycles that'll easily do 140 mph, I can tell you 40 mph on what's essentially a plank with handlebars feels scarily rapid. So, when a company decides to build an electric scooter, which will go into production, to take part in Bonneville Speed Week 2025 and break a 100 mph+ record, my hairs stood up.

The scooter in question is made by Bo, which is an elite UK-based team assembled from Williams Formula One Advanced Engineering, and codenamed "The Turbo". It has a better power-to-weight ratio than a Bugatti Veyron and aims to be the world's fastest electric scooter. But that's just one of many facts about The Turbo that make you stop and take note.

It's set to break a 100 mph+ record, but, according to the company, it's also supposed to accelerate faster than a Tesla Model 3, even with the motors calibrated for maximum speed rather than maximum acceleration.
