Blythswood Hotel launches wellness package as an alternative to hotel minibar

A Glasgow hotel has launched a new package designed as an alternative to the traditional room minibar.

Kimpton Blythswood Square has designed the 'Stay Well' package in response to the growing health and wellbeing trends.

The offering, which includes gut health-advancing kombucha and iodine-filled seaweed capsules, has been designed with health and wellbeing-conscious guests in mind.

The 24-hour wellness experience includes a ‘Shroom Service’ (available on request), which is believed to be the first of its kind.

Guests will have the opportunity to start their day with Four Sigmatic's Think Organic Coffee and wind down with a de-stressing cup of Calm Organic Cacao Mix at bedtime, both infused with a cultivated blend of functional mushrooms to help transform daily rituals into moments of well-being.

Alongside the hotel’s ‘Shroom Service’, the Wellness Minibar celebrates a host of small brands including vitamin-packed You + I kombucha, CBD tincture by Puresport, antioxidant and vitamin-enriched cold blend coffee and green tea by Two Birds Fitness,
and Weed & Wonderful iodine-filled seaweed capsules.

The offering arrives as Glasgow’s only five-star hotel ushers in an ‘elevated era of wellness’ in response to the growing appetite for self-care, ahead of the imminent relaunch of the hotel’s award-winning spa.

The package offers equipment to help guests transport to the spa in the comfort of their hotel room with an ishga self-care bath experience kit, including invigorating body oil and Hebridean bath salt to lock in long-lasting hydration.

To tackle muscle tension and a cloudy mind, guided ishga yoga flows and Swell sound therapy can also be found in each room, alongside yoga mats, an exercise ball, and foam rollers to help guests improve their wellbeing.

Finlay Anderson, Spa Director at Kimpton Blythswood Square and Area Spa Director for IHG, said: “It’s time for an elevated era of wellness. People are prioritising self-care more than ever before, particularly since the pandemic. Many guests want to return from a hotel feeling much better than when they arrived - and we want to offer a full-package wellness check in that caters to those needs.

“The introduction of our Stay Well package is setting the tone for what’s to come ahead of our relaunch of Spa at Blythswood Square. We’re encouraging guests to look after their bodies and minds and make the most of their time to themselves. The Stay Well package offers a step out of the buzz and burnout of everyday life, and a time to fully reset.”
