Britpop legends Blur have announced that they will play a one-off show at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 8, 2023. The event will be the Park Life singers' first-ever show at the iconic London venue and their first headline appearance since 2015.
The on-stage reunion will see Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon and Alex James come together to bring their quintessentially British sound back to the masses, as they perform their instantly recognisable and effortlessly enjoyable hits from over three decades spent at the top of the charts.
Joining the line-up at Wembley will be British rapper Slowthai, singer-songwriter and Mercury Prize nominee Self Esteem and electro-pop duo Jockstrap.

Manchester fans can grab tickets for Blur’s only UK show of 2023 so far, when they go on general sale on Friday, November 18 via Ticketmaster. Those who are able to can grab tickets even earlier as an Artist and O2 Priority pre-sale tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday, November 16, also via Ticketmaster.
First formed in 1988, Blur were an intrinsic part of both the Britpop and Madchester music scenes, bringing their own flavour of indie rock to shoe-gazing fans in the nineties. They went on the help revolutionise the sound of a generation with five No. 1 albums, two No. 1 singles and a string of Top 10 hits along the way.
Critically acclaimed, the band have also picked up ten NME Awards, six Q Awards, five BRIT Awards and an Ivor Novello Award.
Speaking about their first outing since the release of their Magic Whip album over 7 years ago, guitarist Graham Coxon, said: “I’m really looking forward to playing with my blur brothers again and revisiting all those great songs… blur live shows are always amazing for me. A nice guitar and an amp turned right up and loads of smiling faces.”
The announcement will delight fans of guitar-based Indie rock, as fellow nineties, Britpop behemoths Pulp are also coming back together for a reunion tour in 2023.
