Stockport band Blossoms have announced two huge headline UK shows next summer. The five-piece will perform Manchester's Castlefield Bowl as part of the Sounds of the City gig series that runs each July, and Leeds' Millennium Square.
The band will play in Manchester on Thursday, July 6 and Leeds on Saturday, July 8. Support for the Manchester show will come from Inspiral Carpets, whiles Miles Kane will support the band in Leeds. Tickets go on sale via Ticketmaster and See Tickets on Thursday, December 15 at 9am.
Last week Blossoms concluded a sold out, twenty three date UK tour, concluding in Manchester as part of a four-date residency at the O2 Apollo. The band also played a secret gig at Manchester music institution Night & Day as part of a preview party, organised ahead of the unveiling of the city's new Co-op Live arena, which is set to become one of the busiest and most important music venues in the world when it opens at the end of 2023.

The band have enjoyed widespread success since forming in 2013 and have played sold-out venues and packed festival stages, as well a celebratory hometown show at Stockport County’s Edgeley Park – in summer 2019. Their latest album Ribbon Around The Road reached number 1 this year and was produced by their collaborators James Skelly and Rich Turvey.
The creative direction for the album and its videos was developed by Edwin Burdis, Arctic Monkeys’ Creative Director, who worked with the band on their Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino and AM albums. Burdis also directed a film for the album, which featured performances from the band and premiered at Stockport Plaza around the album’s release in April this year.
Blossoms will take to the Castlefield Bowl stage next July, the same venue where the likes of Kylie, Elbow and James have played in he past. While the full line-up for Sounds of the City hasn't been announced yet, this year's festival saw the likes of Primal Scream, Sam Fender, The Libertines and Pixies perform.
Tickets for the Blossoms gig a Castlefield Bowl gig will go on sale on Thursday, December 15 at 9am. Tickets can be purchased here.
