A Bathgate florist has proved she’s blooming brilliant after winning yet another a top award after beating competition from around Britain.
Becky’s Flowers in Bathgate, run by Becky Lindl, won in the florist category of Great British Wedding Awards.
She said she was “absolutely blown away” with her award, adding: “The night of the awards was actually quite low key as fairly last minute the event was made online rather than attended as it should have been.
I celebrated with a glass of fizz in my favourite PJ’s!! It never really occurred to me to potentially dress up ‘in case’ as we couldn’t be seen and really didn’t think I had a chance of winning. I already felt like I had won just by being the only florist from Scotland as a finalist for the whole of Great Britain.
“I will celebrate further (regardless of outcome) over the coming weeks as I’m also a finalist at The Confetti Awards in Glasgow on Monday and The Scottish Wedding Awards also in Glasgow on February 28.
“I am absolutely blown away and on cloud nine at the win and feel very humbled that so many of my bridal parties and customers hold me in such high regard that it’s worth taking the time to vote for me and even more so that it’s enough to hold my own as a finalist up against some well known florists across the country who have teams working together.
“I work for and by myself from start to finish of every wedding. I want to thank each and every one of those that did because it all helps me to continue to grow my small business and know it’s all worthwhile. Also a thankyou to the hard working judges who make the difficult decision on who the winners are out of several well deserving finalists!”
Becky has over 25 years experience with flowers and opened in Bathgate in 2010.
Since then she’s been nominated for awards from the Scottish Wedding Awards, Confetti Awards and VOWS awards and was recently been awarded Florist of the Year at the Scottish Wedding Awards,
