Blood-splattered hot chef from Emily In Paris opens Paris fashion show

On Paris Fashion Week men’s second night, some of TV’s favourite faces whipped up a commotion.

Yesterday evening, at the LGN Louis-Gabriel Nouchi runway, eyes locked on Emily In Paris’star chef as he marched down to open the show.

Lucas Bravo, who plays heartthrob Gabriel in the series, appeared with American Psycho-inspired blood splashed across his face, a severe, padded shoulder grey overcoat, white shirt and tie. His hair was slicked back, and the first look was finished with sinister latex gloves.

A second gasp came when Stefano Gianino, who plays The White Lotus’ handsome, very dodgy mafia member Niccoló (yes, the one who sleeps with Jennifer Coolidge), appeared as a vision in powder blue. The sharp jawed, Italian actor wore an asymmetric, mesh top with a matching shade, loose fitting suit and another pair of latex covered hands.

Elsewhere, the Iranian gay pornstar Sharok walked the catwalk holding a handwritten sign which read “Stop executions in Iran”, while male model Richard Biedul joined the last three models in wearing replica skin, translucent outfits – another reference to the 2000, serial killer horror film.

There were high expectations going into LGN’s recent show, following the success that came from last season’s catwalk which went viral thanks to comedian Jordan Firstman who walked the catwalk completely naked, save for a black dressing gown.

“In the gay community, we tend to put labels and categorize everyone, and clothes work in a similar way, based on stereotypes,” the designer told Vogue, discussing the new AW23 collection. “I like to play with the stereotypes, but it’s less about styling and more about the connotation of the piece on the body and how it affects the stereotype.”

As Paris Fashion Week men’s continues, a host of runway moments are sure to come. Look out for Louis Vuitton and Ami Paris today, 19 January, Dior Homme and Kenzo tomorrow, 20 January, and Masion Margiela who are set to close the week on Sunday night.
