These days there are plenty of meat-free versions of foods that we've known and loved for years. Many manufacturers associated with meaty products like sausages are now on board with meatless versions to try to cash-in on changing tastes.
That extends to restaurants and fast-food joints too, of course - you only have to look at the likes of McDonald's or Burger King to see how menus have changed. But what about the good old banger?
Not so long ago the sausage was the preserve of the meat lover alone. But not any more. When a colleague of Express writer Rachel Hains claimed that Richmond meat-free sausages "hardly tasted different at all" compared to the original meaty counterpart, there was only one thing she could do.
