Animal rescue workers have vowed not to give up on a blind dog which was hurled into freezing seas and left to die. A shocked fisherman spotted the one-year-old Malinois near to death but still swimming and fighting for his life.
It is believed someone drove the dog, now named Ash, to the harbour and threw him into the waters believing he would die. He has since been left so low from his ordeal that he remains fighting for his life a week after being found.
He is now under the care of an animal sanctury where those looking after him say they have been left shocked how anyone could treat a dog like this. Eileen Treacy from Star Rescue told DogsLive they "thought we'd heard it all" before the incredible story of the "dog who wouldn't give up".
