The Baltimore Ravens have had a rather uneventful offseason outside of the ongoing situation surrounding star quarterback Lamar Jackson. The two sides have yet to agree on a resolution to their saga, which has hindered Baltimore’s ability to add other pieces to their roster and follow a path to making their team better.
When predicting the landing spots for the top 2023 free agents left on the market, Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report named the Ravens as the team he believes will sign former Miami Dolphins quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. When explaining why, Knox mentioned Baltimore’s situation with Jackson, saying Bridgewater could be the ideal insurance policy for the Ravens.
“The Baltimore Ravens may need a quarterback if they cannot get things worked out with 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson. Baltimore gave Jackson the non-exclusive franchise tag this offseason, and the quarterback recently announced that he handed a trade request into the team on March 2…Bridgewater would be an ideal insurance policy for the Ravens.”
