The Baltimore Ravens have undergone some massive changes to their team ever since the 2021 season ended. There have been coaching shakeups, key players added, other contributors who have left, and more.
Some of the additions that Baltimore has made over the course of the 2022 offseason include free agent pickups in safety Marcus Williams, offensive tackle Morgan Moses, defensive lineman Michael Pierce and cornerback Kyle Fuller. However, when listing off each NFL team’s most exciting 2022 offseason addition, Alex Kay of Bleacher Report named the Ravens’ as rookie safety Kyle Hamilton, who the team selected in the first round of the 2022 draft.
“Baltimore pulled off one of the biggest steals of the draft when it landed Kyle Hamilton at No. 13 overall. Considered a top prospect by many—including the Bleacher Report Scouting Department, which ranked him No. 7 overall on its final big board—the Notre Dame star is one of the best players at the safety position to enter the draft in years.”
Kay also talked about some of the traits that make Hamilton so exciting
“He’s great in coverage and changes direction quickly, reading quarterbacks’ eyes and getting to the ball quickly to break up passes and snare interceptions. He’s strong against the run and a good tackler who will get a chance to show his stuff as an immediate starter in Baltimore.”
Hamilton should have a big role for the team early on, and could contribute in a big way considering his overall talent. Baltimore was able to secure one of the best players of the 2022 draft cycle at No. 14 overall, which marks another win for general manager Eric DeCosta and company.
