The Cleveland Browns were linked to former first round and free agent cornerback Adoree’ Jackson. For some reason.
With Denzel Ward, Martin Emerson Jr., and Greg Newsome II already locked into the starting lineup, the Browns have one of the best cornerback rooms in the NFL. Then, we consider the depth they have as well, drafting Cameron Mitchell in the fifth round in 2023, Myles Harden in the seventh round in 2024, then signing a couple of veteran special teamers this offseason as well.
This, however, did not stop Kris Knox of Bleacher Report from saying the following:
“With the league implementing a revised kickoff format in 2024, it couldn’t hurt to have another experienced returner on the roster—and the Browns have been searching for a reliable returner pretty much since the heyday of Josh Cribbs.”
Never mind that the Browns also signed running back and return specialist Nyheim Hines to do that very thing.
Anyway, actual football will be back soon.
