The Blazers may not be finished swinging trades just yet. After the Damian Lillard trade which brought in Jrue Holiday and Deandre Ayton, among other things, Portland then flipped Holiday to the Celtics in exchange for Robert Williams, Malcolm Brogdon and multiple draft picks as well.
Now, it appears the Blazers could be right back at it, leaving the door wide open to once again move a guard acquired via trade, just as they did with Holiday. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Portland is “committed to young guards” on their current roster, and in turn the belief is that the franchise will receive trade calls on Brogdon.
That's the current tally on Lillard trade, anyway: Portland plans to keep Robert Williams to pair with Deandre Ayton, sources say, but there has certainly been interest in veteran Malcolm Brogdon and expect teams will be calling on him. Blazers are committed to young guards. https://t.co/7vYhYNmbmZ

Brogdon spent all of the 2022-23 season with Boston, averaging 14.9 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the field. It’ll be worth monitoring which teams could step into the fold as potential trade suitors for the 30-year-old guard, but it’s not surprising to hear his name floated as (another) potential trade piece for Portland.
