A fire which broke out in a building in Redland is believed to have been started deliberately, fire crews have said. Avon Fire and Rescue Service was called to Chandos Road just after 7.30am after a fire erupted in the top floor of the building.
Witnesses said they saw three fire engines on the nearby Stanley Road, with a number of firefighters wearing breathing apparatuses. The fire service said crews from Temple, Bedminster and Southmead were called at 7.34am and found a small blaze on the top floor.
Using one high pressure hose reel and two breathing apparatuses, fire crews soon put out the blaze. A fire service spokesperson told BristolLive the incident is believed to have been started deliberately.

They said in a statement: "We were called at 7.34am to reports of a fire in a property on Chandos Road, Bristol. Crews from Temple, Bedminster and Southmead attended and on arrival found a small fire on the top floor of the building.
"Firefighters used one high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire and two firefighters wore breathing apparatus for safety. The cause of the fire is thought to be deliberate ignition."
