Blake Lively's fitness coach reveals mum-of-four's secrets behind stunning figure

Blake Lively's personal trainer Don Saladino has revealed his top tips for weight loss and maintaining a toned physique like his gorgeous celebrity client.

The fitness expert has coached the likes of Blake and her husband Ryan Reynolds as well as other big names including Cindy Crawford, Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway and Marvel's Sebastian Stan, the Mirror reports.

He reassured that with his methods, his clients are "never starving themselves" and that they're also "never doing no-to-low carbs" in a revelation that may come as a shock to some.

Don also doesn't believe in calorie deficits and instead promotes incorporating healthier habits into his client's lifestyles such as drinking water, walking more and getting a good night's sleep each night.

Speaking of the importance of resting, he told E! News: "It's a fat burner and it's free". The personal trainer claims he once witnessed a client shed nine pounds in three weeks simply by sleeping for an extra 90 minutes per night.

Don explained: "My clients understand the importance of being strong and they understand the importance of getting in enough energy. They don't starve themselves".

He urged: "Let's stop talking about weight loss. Let's start talking about body composition change and stop living in a caloric deficit. Calories are energy, so if you get into a car and you gas up a car, a car is going to drive until it runs out of gas or until you pull over.

"The human body is going to look at the amount of calories someone is consuming and say, 'Wait a second, this person is not putting enough energy into my body,' and you're not going to run all that well."

He added: "That's why you see people who are eating too little calories, they can't lose weight. Their blood sugar level is low and their energy level is low, so they are not moving as frequently anymore".

Don went on to say that walking is a simple yet effective form of exercise that can create real changes in a person's health, even if it's just for 30 minutes per day.

He advised: "Walk to work in the morning, walk home from work, after all three of your meals, walk for 30 minutes, just do something".
