Months after rumors of an on-set feud between 'It Ends with Us' costars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni first surfaced, the 'Gossip Girl' alum filed a complaint against the actor for sexual harassment.
According to court documents obtained, the complaint details allegations of sexual harassment, retaliation, intentional affliction of emotional distress, negligence, and more.
An 'all hands' meeting was convened on Jan. 4 to address the hostile work environment that had nearly derailed production. Attendees included Lively's husband, Ryan Reynolds, Baldoni, director and actor Jamey Heath, and more.
Concerns raised by Lively included demands to cease showing nude videos or images of women, refrain from discussing personal experiences with sex, and avoid mentioning Baldoni's or Heath's previous 'pornography addiction.'
Despite an agreement to cease the outlined conduct, Lively claims in the complaint that Baldoni engaged in a 'social manipulation' campaign to 'destroy' her career and reputation.
In response, Lively stated, 'I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.'
Representatives for Baldoni denied the claims, calling them 'completely false' and 'outrageous.'
Rumors of a feud between the costars began during the film's press tour, with fans speculating on social media about the dynamics between Lively and Baldoni.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the entertainment industry awaits further developments in this ongoing controversy.
