Blackburn United came from behind to defeat Airdrie in the under-16 WLYAFA League Cup final held earlier this month in Broxburn.
Goals from Lewis Roberts, Kai Coyle and Harrison Hall ensured the Burnie lifted the trophy following a 3-2 victory after they had been trailing at half-time.
Coach Gavin Wallace said: “Airdrie were better in the first half and probably deservedly in front at the break.
“We had a wee chat at half-time and we were much better in the second half and in the end deserved to win the game.”
United and Airdrie have been involved in a tussle all season long with the pair involved in a thrilling shoot-out for the title and set to meet each other again in the County Cup final.
It was double delight for Blackburn on the day as their under-17 side also walked away with winners’ medals, defeating Edinburgh United 2-1.
