As part of this year's Black History Month celebrations, a special initiative called Black, Out, & Proud was launched to honor Black queer trailblazers. These individuals shared insights into their journeys of accepting their queer identities and offered valuable advice for young Black queer individuals.
From well-known figures like RuPaul's Drag Race star Shea Couleé to P-Valley's Nicco Annan, each shared words of wisdom. Nicco Annan emphasized the importance of embracing one's identity and not allowing it to be weaponized against them. He encouraged self-acceptance and emphasized the idea of continuous growth.
