Black Ops 7 Season 5 Reloaded is the new update arriving on Aug. 20, 2026, at 9am PT. The mid-season patch brings the final Round-Based Zombies map, a new Multiplayer map, a Freerun course, new weapons, events, and more.

Multiplayer
Turbo Tilt
Turbo Tilt is a new small-sized Multiplayer map that supports 6v6 and 2v2 matches. Players enter a giant pinball machine built around Nuketown’s history. The map includes familiar Nuketown references, including the Bus, the House, the desert, and the central blast. It also adds ramps, bumpers, interactive targets, flippers, and pinballs that can knock Operators over.
Freerun: Descent
Freerun: Descent is a timed obstacle course for teams of 10 Operators. The course sends players downhill through seven zones filled with movement challenges and checkpoints. You will use wall jumps, slides, Wingsuit sections, target practice, Grappling Gun segments, boost pads, portals, and shortcuts. Falling from the course gives you a fault and returns you to your most recent checkpoint.
The course rewards are:
- Complete the course 3 times for the “Eyes on Screen” Emblem and 1,000 XP
- Collect every Cipher for the “Catch Air” Weapon Charm and 2,500 XP
- Finish in under 12 minutes with fewer than 10 faults for the “Gridlock” Universal Weapon Camo and 5,000 XP
Cranked Moshpit
Cranked Moshpit returns as a limited-time mode. Eliminating an enemy activates the Cranked timer and gives you a series of Operator buffs. You must keep earning kills or playing the objective to add time. If the timer reaches zero, your Operator explodes.
The buffs improve as your streak grows:

Zombies
Rex Infernus
Rex Infernus is the final Round-Based Zombies map in Black Ops 7. The crew must cleanse the Shadowsmith places of power, reach the Wardenʼs inner sanctum, and stop the threat before reality collapses.
The Main Quest launches alongside the map on Aug. 20. Completing it grants the “Bloodthorn” Wonder Weapon Skin, a Calling Card, and 10,000 XP. Collecting the required Audio Logs, Documents, and Artifacts unlocks another Calling Card and 10,000 XP.
Players who finish the Main Quest before Directed Mode arrives will also receive a unique Calling Card variant. The Rex Infernus Mastery Challenge grants an Animated Calling Card and 10,000 XP.
New enemies
- Deathspinner : Deathspinners are fast melee enemies that attack in groups. They can also fire web projectiles that slow players. One Deathspinner may be manageable, but several attacking together can quickly limit your movement
- Web Mother : The Web Mother is an elite enemy that combines lunges, screams, web damage, and slowing effects. It can cocoon Zombies and turn them into environmental hazards, making the arena more dangerous as the fight continues
Titan Trap, Cursed Mode, and Widow’s Wine
The Titan Trap draws nearby Zombies into its area and smashes them with powerful ground attacks. The trap can clear groups quickly, but Operators standing too close can also take damage when it activates.
Cursed Mode offers a tougher version of Rex Infernus. It removes Main Quest guidance, limits the HUD, and restricts players to a starting Pistol. It is intended for players who want to complete the map with less assistance and a higher level of risk.
Widowʼs Wine is the new Perk-a-Cola. When melee attacks reduce your health, the perk can trigger a web explosion. Its Major Augments include:
- Widowʼs Bite : Melee attacks can trigger web explosions, while melee kills on cocooned enemies can restore health
- Hatchling : Web explosions summon a friendly Deathspinner
- Web Spinner : Explosions create a temporary slowing field
- Tangled Web : Normal and Special enemies are cocooned, while Elite enemies are slowed
Minor Augments can reduce the cooldown, increase the explosion radius, extend the web effect, or allow thrown explosives to cover surviving enemies in webs.
Fully Packed GobbleGum and new Mystery Box weapons
Fully Packed is an Ultra GobbleGum that instantly upgrades your current weapon to Pack-a-Punch Level III in Zombies. In Dead Ops Arcade, it grants either a Tactical Armor Vest or a full set of armor plates.
Rex Infernus adds two Ultra-Rarity Legacy weapons to the Mystery Box:
- TR2 Marksman Rifle : A high-damage weapon for ranged fights
- Olympia Shotgun : A close-range weapon designed to shred Zombies
Both weapons have statistics comparable to Wonder Weapons and support full Pack-a-Punch progression and Ammo Mods.
Co-op and Endgame
Burn Run Assignment
Burn Run continues in Avalon during Season 5 Reloaded. Find the skull icon on the Tac Map, reach the Guild-rigged UTV, and race through flaming checkpoints before the timer expires.
Hitting enemies and obstacles adds time, but the vehicle takes damage. Repair power-ups keep the UTV running, while Boost power-ups help you move through the course more quickly. There are three tracks:

Season 5 Reloaded is the last chance to play Endgame for free through the Warzone menu. Endgame will only be available to BO7 owners starting Season 6.
New weapons and attachments
The Mace is a two-handed melee weapon earned through the Last Call Event and Weekly Challenge progression. It has high damage and long reach, but its attacks are slow. The weapon has 30 levels, supports Mastery Badges and Blueprint customization, and has no attachments. Universal Weapon Prestige Camos are available at Prestige 1, Prestige 2, and Prestige Max.
The Calibrated Strike System is a Barrel attachment for the RK-9 SMG. It uses bloom rounds that expand during flight and deal maximum damage within a specific range. An indicator shows when you are within the ideal distance. This attachment appears best suited to players who can control their engagement range rather than constantly taking fights at point-blank range.
The Gauss Accelerator is a Fire Mods attachment for the Peacekeeper MK1 Assault Rifle. It silently fires two heavy-metal projectiles using electromagnetic acceleration. The attachment improves ballistics but reduces handling and mobility. It should suit players who prefer controlled mid-range fights over fast movement and close-quarters aggression.
