Black Friday at Aldi 2022: When does sale start and special buy items on offer

There's no better feeling than finding a bargain amongst Aldi's special buy items, and in just a few months time shoppers can expect to see the middle aisles fully stocked, as the supermarket offers it's 2022 Black Friday deals.

The annual sale, which is undoubtedly the biggest shopping event of the year see's thousands of retailers slash their prices in the lead up to Christmas. Originally an American tradition, marking the first Friday after Thanksgiving, we now see popular UK retailers take part from fashion retailers, phone providers, Amazon and supermarkets including Aldi.

The budget supermarket is well-known for its quirky special buy items and it's 'lucky-dip' style sale baskets. Shoppers can get a range of items for a discounted price all year round but what you find often differs in each store. Items on the special buy list have previously included paddle boards, drills, dog beds and heated air racks.

But when it comes to Aldi the supermarkets hasn't always been very clear on its Black Friday stance, with deals to be found all year round, its uncertain whether the chain will officially take place. We've put together a guide to Black Friday 2022 at Aldi, to help shoppers make the most of the discounts, even if it is a rare special buy find.

When will Aldi reveal it's Black Friday deals?

The official date for Black Friday this year is November 25, just two months to go, but will Aldi take part in the sales?

As a budget supermarket Aldi offers a range of offers and special buy bargains throughout the year, but the deals get even better as soon as Black Friday hits. Some retailers like Amazon and Pretty Little Thing offer Black Friday deals well in advanced (often up to two weeks before the date) but the same can't be said for Aldi.

Last year the supermarket released its Black Friday deals at midnight on November 26 for only 24 hours, which considering the global scale of the shopping event, it is a very small window for shoppers to find deals.

Aldi is also knew to Black Friday, the frist one it took part in was in 2020, so the previous sale habits may not stick into 2022. The only advice we can share is to go straight to the special buy aisles on Friday November 26 when shopping in store.

What can we expect to find at Aldi this Black Friday?

Last year Aldi's sales seemed to have a sole focus on electronics, giving the likes of Curry's a run for its money with a few TV deals.

An OLED 4K TV was on offer for £630 or the 43-inch smart HD TV was available to shopper for £260. Aldi currently has a range of TV deals on it's site, including this Medion 65inch UHD Smart TV.

In 2020 the supermarket offerred a range of big household tech names in its Black Friday sales, Nintendo, Apple and Samsung were just some of the brands featured. This year we can expect to see well-known tech brands on offer on its site, with Nintendo Switch making the top of our 'highly-anticipated' list, as its featured in the previous two Black Friday's.

This X Rocker Charging station can charge Nintendo Switch controllers and is available now for £9.99. And of course we expect no less than to see an array of 'Dyson dupe' vaccuum cleaners and steam mops included in the annual sale, as they are often popular special buy finds.

Special buys you can get now at Aldi

'Giant 7ft Dinosaur Water Sprinkler' for £24.99 that's how random Aldi special buy's can be, and shoppers aren't always guaranteed to find the same item twice.

Other buys this month include a Rattan Corner Sofa Dining Set on offer for £499.99, down from it's original £649.99 price tag. Garden furniture and accessories are popular at Aldi, as the store offers everything from BBQ's to hot tubs. The Fire King Pizza Oven is currently on sale from £499.99 to £399.99.
