New series, Black Bird has launched on Apple TV+. The six-part thriller, which stars Welsh actor Taron Egerton, is based on the true crime memoir In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption by James Keene and Hillel Levin.
Egerton, who has recently been making headlines with Marvel speculation, leads an all-star cast as James 'Jimmy' Keene - a criminal who cuts a deal with the FBI in exchange for his freedom. The 32-year-old from Wales rose to stardom for his role in the Kingsman franchise and his Golden Globe winning performance as Elton John in the 2019 biopic, Rocketman.
Black Bird follows a high school football player and the son of a celebrated policeman who is thrown into jail for 10 years, played by Egerton. His only chance of parole comes after he strikes a deal with the FBI to infiltrate a maximum-security prison and befriend a suspected serial killer to elicit a confession before his appeal. But who else is in the cast and how can you watch this new psychological thriller?
