BJP’s Nishikant Dubey accuses Congress of defending NewsClick to 'break' India, Adhir asks Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla to expunge remarks

NEW DELHI: BJP MP from Godda in Jharkhand Nishikant Dubey on Monday levelled serious allegations against the Congress, accusing it of defending news portal NewsClick which “receives funds from China to break India”. Shortly after his allegations, leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury wrote a letter to speaker Om Birla requesting him to expunge the BJP MP’s remarks from the records.

Shortly after the question hour had started when the House met for the day, Birla adjourned it till noon, following a ruckus by the opposition demanding discussion on Manipur violence.
