NEW DELHI: Senior BJP leaders including Union home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh and party president JP Nadda on Saturday said the election of NDA’s Vice-Presidential candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar, who has a farming background, to the constitutional post will further increase the dignity of the chair.
“I thank PM Narendra Modi and BJP president JP Nadda for making Jagdeep Dhankhar-ji NDA’s candidate for the post of Vice-President. The manner in which Dhankhar-ji, the farmer son of Rajasthan, has reached here today after facing many economic and social challenges is inspirational for all,” Shah said in a series of tweets.
