Bitcoin (BTC USD) ETFs just erased $5.8 billion deficit as investors pour in $2.84 billion in six days

Bitcoin's recent price recovery has been accompanied by a sharp turnaround in investor flows into US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs.

The funds have erased a $5.8 billion deficit recorded earlier this year and have now moved into positive territory, with nearly $800 million in net inflows for the year, according to SoSoValue data.

The shift has happened within weeks. On July 13, the ETFs were down a combined $5.8 billion for the year, marking the low point, as per data analyzed by CoinDesk.

By September 25, the picture had changed considerably.

Bitcoin ETF Inflows Reach $2.84 Billion in Six Days

One of the biggest signs of the recent turnaround has been the funds' six-day winning streak. US spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $2.84 billion over the past six trading days, as per CryptoProwl report.

The inflows have continued even as Bitcoin's rally has stalled above $85,000 since Tuesday. The latest six-day run is significant, although it does not represent the largest six-day inflow streak recorded by these ETFs.

A six-day streak from February 22 to 29, 2024 brought in $2.35 billion and another streak, from November 6 to 13, 2024, attracted $4.73 billion.

Bitcoin Has Recovered From Its June Low

The improvement in ETF flows has come alongside a recovery in Bitcoin's price.

BTC USD price fell to under $58,000 in early June before recovering to around $85,000. Bitcoin was trading at about $84,500 early on September 25.

The combination of the price recovery and renewed ETF demand has led some analysts to say that a new bull run is already underway.

2026 Inflows Still Lag Behind Previous Years

Despite the recent turnaround, this year's ETF inflows remain well below the levels recorded in the previous two years.

The nearly $800 million in net inflows so far in 2026 compares with $35.2 billion in 2024 and $21.4 billion in 2025.

That means the recent six-day streak has helped reverse a large deficit but the year's overall inflows remain much smaller than those seen in the previous two years.

Billions Have Returned to Bitcoin ETFs

The recent buying has accelerated in the past few weeks, with investors pouring billions of dollars into US-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs.

As per CoinDesk, nearly $4 billion of those inflows have come since US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's August announcement of increased bond purchases, described as a liquidity management tool introduced as bond yields reached multi-year highs.

For now, the ETF market has moved from a multibillion-dollar deficit to a modest net gain for the year.

The turnaround comes as Bitcoin trades near $85,000, with the funds recording six consecutive trading days of inflows.
