Bruno Guimaraes has had an eventful start to his World Cup journey with Brazil this week after celebrating his 25th birthday and suffering a pre-tournament injury scare in the space of a few hours in Italy.
The Newcastle United favourite jetted out to Turin with the rest of his Selecao team-mates on Monday, with the group enjoying a few days of pre-World Cup training before flying out to Qatar this weekend.
Guimaraes was inundated with birthday messages on social media on Wednesday, sharing a significant amount on his personal Instagram. The Brazil players were also on hand to celebrate, performing a guard of honour, chanting and giving him the 'birthday bumps' as the Magpies midfielder left the dressing room to enter the training pitch.

The subsequent training session hit the headlines as video footage emerged of Guimaraes temporarily limping out of action to be treated by Brazil's physios. Real Madrid forward Rodrygo appeared to stand on Guimaraes' foot during a small-sided game, causing some pain in his ankle.
The former Lyon star left the field for several minutes before returning to action and completing the session, but was limping and looked uncomfortable on his feet. Manchester United loanee Alex Telles was also on the end of rough tackle in the session, with Neymar catching the defender from behind.
Newcastle and Brazil fans wait with bated breath for an update on the midfielder but the national team are yet to release any information. Brazil's first game at the World Cup takes place on Thursday November 24 against Serbia.
Guimaraes certainly looked in fine spirits after the session, as the players sang and chanted the Brazilian version of 'Happy Birthday' to the Newcastle man at dinner. Bruno then got up to inspect a lavish cake prepared in his honour, before making a speech to the rest of the squad.
The national side will complete a few more sessions in Turin before travelling to the Gulf where they are currently favourites to lift the World Cup. Guimaraes will be hoping to enter the competition with a clean bill of health.
