A 'Birthday girl' banner was spotted in a flat window in the same building where a man fell to his death.
Emergency services scrambled to Longmoor Lane in Fazakerley late on Sunday night after reports a man in his 40s had fallen from a top floor window to his death. Merseyside Police later confirmed a 43-year-old man, known to the victim, had been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police closed a large part of the busy road for most of the night while officers worked at the scene. The road was reopened at around 5am this morning as officers reduced the cordon to just cover the three-storey property and the neighbouring buildings.
