Birmingham City's stance on Leeds United transfer interest in George Hall revealed

Birmingham City's stance to reported Leeds United's transfer interest in young midfielder George Hall has been detailed after the 18-year-old was once again linked with the Whites this week.

After 18 appearances for the Blues this season, Hall has been on Leeds' radar for a long time, with some outlets claiming that they are 'on the verge' of signing Hall before the January transfer window is even open.

But now the club have reportedly responded to their interests with the stance that they believe they can keep him on the books at St Andrew's, despite sports outlet TEAMtalk claiming they are 'powerless' to stop the deal being done.

According to Birmingham Live, Leeds' interest 'is fact' - with the hierarchy keen on such a young talent which is keeping in line with what we've seen so far this season as shown by Jesse March's trust and faith in the young talent at his disposal.

However, the Blues have reportedly responded with a "no, thanks", something which will no doubt surprise many fans who up until now would've believed the deal to be all but done.

It's reported that they want Hall to stay at the club throughout the rest of his 18 months left on his current deal, and have even offered him a new, improved deal to satisfy him in case he gets something better in negotiations with Elland Road.

It's clear for now that the Blues are not in the mood to sell Hall, and completely against the idea of "cashing in" on the move, which some outlets have reported after a failed takeover earlier this year has left the club strapped for cash.

Birmingham Live continue to report that Hall "being ‘set to sign’ that would demand an agreement is already in place – and that is not true", leaving nothing to the imagination but the simple fact that Hall is not as close to signing for Leeds as many might think.
