Authorities in Birmingham, Alabama, are offering a combined reward of up to $100,000 dollars for information to help identify multiple people who opened fire in a bustling entertainment district Saturday night. The incident was described as a targeted 'hit' that resulted in 4 fatalities and 17 injuries, including bystanders caught in the crossfire.

The shooting took place in Five Points South in Birmingham after 11 p.m. Police found three individuals unresponsive at the scene, who were later declared dead. A fourth victim, a man, was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. The deceased were identified as Anitra Holloman, 21; Tahj Booker, 27; Carlos McCain, 27; and Roderick Lynn Patterson Jr., 26.

Seventeen others were injured, with at least four sustaining life-threatening injuries. Twelve of the injured victims have been released, while five remain hospitalized. The Birmingham Police Department, in collaboration with the FBI and other agencies, is actively investigating the case and urging individuals with information to come forward.

Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin emphasized the need for stricter legislation to combat gun violence in the city. He expressed solidarity with the victims' families and underscored the community's resolve to hold the perpetrators accountable.

Woodfin highlighted the impact of the tragedy on families and children, urging the community to stand together against violence. He assured that justice would be served for the victims and their loved ones.

Authorities have established a QR code for individuals willing to provide information about the mass shooting, as the investigation continues to unfold.
