Birkenhead Sixth Form College has turned around its food hygiene rating, after getting the worst possible score in a previous inspection.
The college, on Park Road West in Claughton, was handed a zero star rating after an inspection by environmental health officers on March 22. But after a fresh inspection last week, the college now has a four star rating.
This is the second best possible score and the best the college could have got, as inspectors are not able to give a five star rating immediately after a zero star score. The full report from both inspections is not yet available, but some details of the reasons for the initial zero star rating were released after the March inspection.
