Birds Bakery has reopened its doors to shoppers in Sherwood following a major refurbishment which has seen a number of stores given a makeover including Beeston. The popular chain has bakeries across the East Midlands.
It's the first makeover for the Sherwood bakery in Mansfield Road which opened 20 years ago. The new-look store features a purpose-built, hot food counter which will serve their sausage cobs and rolls filled with the roast of the day. They will also offer coffee from another of the city's iconic food and drink brands - 200 degrees.
The refurbishment took a week to complete but shoppers were welcomed back this week to pick up all their favourite Birds Bakery treats including their signature savoury pies. Mike Holling, sales and marketing director at Birds Bakery, said: “Our Sherwood store is looking fantastic and it’s been great to see the reaction of customers."

It comes after the bakery in Beeston was refurbished in February. He added: “It’s important for us to continually invest in our stores so that shoppers get the best experience possible. At Sherwood, we now have a broader range of hot food available, as well as the popular 200 Degrees Coffee."
