Inverness boss Billy Dodds says his side are more than capable of beating Hamilton tonight, and arresting a run of nine games without a win.
Dodds says a victory at New Douglas Park this evening can give the Highlanders a platform to revive their Championship title bid and prove to Kilmarnock and Arbroath that they're still capable of challenging.
Thistle are seven points behind second-placed Killie and leaders Arbroath, and have crashed to two 2-1 defeats against Accies already this season.
But former Rangers and Aberdeen hero Dodds says if Inverness take their 'A' game to New Douglas Park they can head north with a vital three points.
He said: "We've got to do it now, we've done all the talking.
"When you're on this sort of run - and it's not nine straight defeats, it's four defeats and five draws, but it's nine without a win, and you've got to take that on the chin.
"But when you're on this sort of run, you have to act now, do it now, and make sure you win the game.
"We're more than capable of beating Hamilton, but we have to be at it.
"We're going down there, and we know if everybody is on their 'A' game we're more than capable of getting the result.
"But it can go the other way as well.
"We've got to make sure we're at it, we're competitive, aggressive, determined, and maybe a bit angry to go and beat them.
"It's all about making sure we get that win. The only thing that can get you going is getting three points on board.
"You can play poorly and win - and I'd take that right now. I'd love to play well, and I know if we do we're more than capable of winning the game.
"But we need to do it now to give ourselves that edge back, and give ourselves that platform back."
Dodds added: "It's getting to times when we have to win games. There's no messing about, it's as simple as that.
"We just need to get a turning point and give ourselves a platform, a foundation, to go and kick on and get three points.
"I'm desperate, the players are desperate, but the mood in the dressing room is still good.
"The boys have been great, but they have to start showing me they're capable of winning games again.
"This is not a time for learning, this is a time for making sure you can handle it, and stay in the title hunt, and get yourself back, solidifying that play-off place and getting yourself back into title contention, that's what we need to do."
