Bills’ Stefon Diggs: Giants got a good one in Brian Daboll

The New York Giants’ hiring of Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll as head coach is being met with raves around the league. Many who know or played under Daboll believe this is an excellent match.

Count Bills’ superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs among that group.

“I feel like he’ll be a great fit for New York,” Diggs told the New York Post on Saturday. “They’ve got some good pieces there already and he knows how to get guys the ball.”

Diggs, who was traded from Minnesota to Buffalo after the 2019 season, has become one of the game’s top receivers and has been named an AP First Team All-Pro in his first two seasons in Buffalo.

That has a lot to do with Daboll and his development of quarterback Josh Allen. Diggs has both elevated and benefited from their efforts.

“As far as being a head coach,’” Diggs said, “I think it’ll translate magnificently.’

“He has that great relationship from players-coach kind of thing. He trusts his guys. He trusts his players to make plays. When you have a coach like that, you want to play well for him. You don’t want to let him down because he puts so much trust in you.”

That is just want Giant fans want to hear. There hasn’t been a lot of trust on the offensive side of the ball in quite some time.
