Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford have called time on their relationship after just seven months of dating.
The pair's short-lived dalliance was first made public in October, before the duo went Instagram official in November.
However, they have decided they are better off as friends and will remain in each other's lives on an purely platonic level.
They were last seen in public at Coachella in April but were thought to have been keeping a low profile at the music festival in California.
The Bad Guy singer opted to attend the Met Gala earlier this month without Jesse by her side as she stunned in a sheer dress designed by Simone Rocha.
Billie's representative was quick to pour water on any rumours of either party cheating on the other, but told TMZ the pair are "both single".
It comes after speculation circulated about Billie allegedly cozying up to Love, Victor actress Ava Capri at an after-party following the fashion event.
Jesse and Billie's relationship had been under the microscope due to the 10-year difference between them, with the songstress being 21 and The Neighbourhood frontman aged 31.
In December last year, she opened up about how she finds falling in love "really spooky". She admitted she finds it difficult to make a deep romantic connection with someone, but said at the time she was 'excited about everything' including her romance with Jesse.
The award-winning musician went on to admit she tries to keep her romantic life out of the spotlight because the internet can be difficult over 'stuff like this' when discussing the duo's age difference.
But in an apparent dig at those criticising the age gap, Billie and Jesse dressed as a baby and old man for Halloween last year.
The costumes were branded "disturbing" by some fans. While the pair didn't share the costumes on social media themselves, images quickly circulated and fans blasted them for being "sick and twisted".
