West Australian great Bill Walker will be elevated to legend status - and he's used the moment to talk about his dislike of Victoria ahead of Saturday's State of Origin rebirth.

Walker will toss the coin for the blockbuster clash at Optus Stadium, and the AFL revealed on Friday the 84-year-old would be formally inducted as a Legend at the Australian Football Hall of Fame gala in Melbourne on June 9.
