Bill Kenwright has sent a heart-warming farewell message to Duncan Ferguson after his exit from Everton was confirmed.

Ferguson has left his position of first-team assistant manager to pursue his managerial ambitions, becoming the latest big name to leave Finch Farm this year after David Unsworth's departure in April.

The Scot first joined the club as a player in 1994, returning for a second spell in 2000, and scored 73 goals in 273 Everton appearances that spanned ten years. He also assumed caretaker responsibility of the first-team on two separate occasions, resulting in a memorable win over Chelsea in 2019 during the first of these experiences.
