Everton chairman Bill Kenwright says newly appointed Director of Football Kevin Thelwell will bring 'quality and experience' to the club.
The Blues confirmed on Friday that Thelwell will assume the role and report directly to the Club’s Board of Directors, acting as the strategic lead for recruitment and all the club’s football departments.
The decision comes over two months after Marcel Brands departed Everton and concludes a lengthy search for his replacement.

Kenwright commented on the appointment and says the former Sporting Director at Wolves has a 'fantastic track record' for developing young talent.
"Following a rigorous search and recruitment process Kevin was the stand-out candidate to become our new Director of Football," he said.
"He brings quality and experience and an outstanding track record for developing young players.
"We all look forward to welcoming him to Everton."
