The Microsoft cofounder is one of the world’s most prolific philanthropists, and he has said he wants to donate “virtually all” of his $103 billion fortune and drop off the world’s richest persons list. He has called giving a “basic responsibility for anyone with a lot of money” and an interesting challenge, but his latest motivation to donate is a lot more personal.
