KOLKATA: A team of Kolkata Police, who raided a village in Bihar's east Champaran district, allegedly faced unexpected resistance from local cops while trying to re-arrest the accused of a robbery. The accused, Neeraj, had earlier fled from the custody of the city police.
The Bihar police, who had cooperated with the city police team initially, claimed that the accused was wanted in a local crime. The Kolkata Police team was asked to return later to seek the accused's transit remand to the city.
The accused was arrested from Raxaul in connection with a robbery at Beliaghata. He fled from the SSKM Hospital a few days ago and since then, cops had been searching for him.
