Bihar boat accident: 13 children killed as boat capsizes in Vaishali district; PM announces ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh

At least 13 children, all under 15 years of age, drowned when a boat capsized in the Ganga river in Bihar's Vaishali district, District Magistrate Varsha Singh told PTI on Tuesday. District police officials and an SDRF team were dispatched to conduct search operations in the area.

According to the official, the incident took place around 8.30 pm in the Raghopur police station area, around 70 kilometres from the district headquarters.
