Bigg Boss 16: Femina Miss India 2020 runner up Manya Singh opens up about not getting work for 2 years; says 'was rejected because of my skin tone'

Bigg Boss 16 witnessed a rocking premiere episode tonight (October 1) with host Salman Khan welcoming the contestants on stage. Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Abdu Rozik, Shalin Bhanot, Ankit Gupta, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Sumbul Touqeer amongst others entered the house during the premiere episode. Femina Miss India 2020 runner up Manya Singh is also one of the contestants this year and she made a smashing entry on the show.

During her interaction with host Salman Khan, Manya opened up about her struggles in the showbiz industry and also shared how she had no work even after winning the pageant.

As everyone is aware of Manya's family background. Manya's father is an autorickshaw driver. The beauty queen shared that her father still drives the auto rickshaw and her mother travels in local trains. She stated that she struggled for 6 years to be a Miss India.

When Salman asked about the reason, Manya revealed that her parents didn't want her to feel burdened with responsibilities and hence they still lead a simple life. Further, talking about her tough phase, Manya shared she had no work for almost two years. She was rejected because of her skin tone and other factors. "Logon ko lagta hai Miss India bannane ke baad zindagi badal jaati hai, par aisa nahi hota mera paas koi kaam nahi tha do saal tak. Mujhe kabhi mere skin tone ke wajah se toh kabhi koi reason de bola gaya tumhe kaam nahi mil sakta."

Salman assured her that going forward she is going to get good work. Manya talked about how she still travels in auto rikshaw and has to request her father when she has to go somewhere.
