Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has given his advice about breaking into the club's first-team to Alejandro Garnacho and other youngsters trying to make the step up this season.
Garnacho netted his first Premier League goal on Sunday, firing home a stoppage-time winner in the 2-1 victory over Fulham. This follows his first senior goal against Real Sociedad earlier this month after making his full senior debut against FC Sheriff a week prior.
He went on to make his first Premier League start against Aston Villa on November 6 before providing two assists in the 4-2 League Cup revenge win from the substitute’s bench. Garnacho, 18, leads a select group of fresh academy graduates to be training with the first-team this season.

Zidane Iqbal has been involved in the senior circle along with Facundo Pellistri, who has jetted off to Qatar to represent Uruguay at the World Cup despite not yet making his senior bow for United.
Having broken through the ranks himself, Rashford is in a great position to advise the next generation of starlets. Speaking to in-house media, he encouraged these up-and-coming prospects to put in as much effort in training as in games, stating that it will benefit their matchplay.
The forward - who is United's top scorer this season with eight goals - explained: “Just train how you would play. You have to get used to the intensity that this team plays at and the only way to do that is to just do it in training. And then when the game does come it’s not going to be a surprise to you.
“You know what the intensity is like, you know what the strength of the players is like and then you just have to express yourself when you go out there. Don’t be nervous or anything like that. It’s a big moment for you so you just want to enjoy it.”
