Big Fang's 'seriously twisted' crazy golf course heads to Nottingham

A new crazy golf course combined with themed cocktails and DJs in a ‘sprayground’ is heading to Nottingham. Big Fang has six sites across the UK including Liverpool, Glasgow and Cardiff but this will be the first in the East Midlands.

The adult-only course will have 18 holes at an old industrial site on Daleside Road, Sneinton and will feature work from selected graffiti artists. The venue will be open seven days a week from midday till late, with bookings and walk-ins both accepted.

The company says: "We don’t take ourselves too seriously and have a naughty sense of humour. We consider ourselves a Graffiti Cathedral combined with a seriously twisted crazy golf course and cocktail bar."

The venture allows "authentic street writers" to express themselves without damaging property or getting into trouble with authorities. According to Golf Fang's website: "We combine each street artists work with tailored lighting and exciting scenery. Golf Fang is a mind-blowing explosion of colour and weirdness. We love what we do and we have an amazing production team and workshop where our visions come to life!"

Founders Kip Piper and Daniel Bolger opened their first site in Liverpool in 2016 inside the 25,000 square-foot Cains Brewery. Kip said: “We are really excited to grow the Golf Fang brand and to be bringing the experience to the East Midlands. Nottingham is a great location for the newest Golf Fang and we love the energy and atmosphere the city has to offer.

"The venue will feature some of our most popular experiential elements and we can’t wait to see how the guests interact with the graffiti-led space.”

The site's industrial units were once occupied by Almor Limited but are now being transformed after permission from Nottingham City Council. There will also be car parking on-site.

The Big Fang Collective has plans to expand further across the UK, with six already planned to launch before 2025. They secured investment from Imbiba last year. Renowned for investing in high-growth, category leading leisure and entertainment brands, Imbiba invested £5m in aid to grow the brand, both in the UK and internationally.
