Fans have clocked that Big Brother Australia sweethearts Holly Young and Colin Ridley are no longer following each other on social media — which, in 2026, is basically the modern equivalent of a public breakup announcement.

What happened to Big Brother’s Holly and Colin?
Inside the Big Brother house, their unlikely romance was one of the season’s biggest talking points. Viewers were obsessed, housemates were confused, and when Colin was evicted, he made it pretty clear he wanted to keep things going in the real world. For a hot minute there, fans genuinely believed this one might survive outside the bubble.
But once filming wrapped and real life kicked back in, the vibe reportedly shifted fast.
Holly headed home to Perth, distance crept in, the hype started cooling off, and now the unfollow has basically confirmed what many suspected was coming. According to insiders, the relationship was always on borrowed time.

“She knows she made great TV, but that life isn’t what she wants long-term,” the insider continued. “She loved the experience and the connection, but she’s choosing her future now.”
As for Colin, people close to him have said the breakup hurt, but wasn’t exactly a shock.
“He genuinely cared about Holly,” one source shared. “But the relationship was built in a bubble. Once real life came back into it, it just couldn’t survive.”
