Bhubaneswar, Guwahati to host India for two FIFA World Cup qualifiers

KOLKATA: On a day that its new regime completed one year at the helm of Indian football, All India Football Association (AIFF) announced Bhubaneswar and Guwahati as hosts for two of India's three home games in the Preliminary Joint Qualification Round 2 of FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup 2027.

Having hosted Intercontinental Cup at Kalinga Stadium in June this year, Bhubaneswar will get the opportunity to host the senior national men's team for a second time this year when they take on AFC Asian Cup champions Qatar on November 21.
